(I suspect Windows developers will be less inclined since Kindle for PC is still an option for Windows users. In the long-run, however, getting an e-ink Kindle and using the Download & Transfer via USB option is a better bet - unless a Mac developer is motivated to figure out the new key. Note: De-DRM'ing ebooks from 1.25 & 1.26 is only possible on Kindle for Mac. I plan to experiment with Catalina if I can do so without compromising my Mac.
However, it works on High Sierra and Mojave. I say "should" because no one has tested it on Catalina yet (that I'm aware of). It's a little tricky, but in some - but not all - cases it should also be possible to get the key to successfully remove DRM.

I am using Kindle v1.17.1 and current version of Calibre will remove drm and give me an epub format.
